![]() ![]() He was soon revived by the Darkhold Redeemers, along with everyone else killed by Blade. The first person who killed Ghost Rider was the vampire hunter Blade, who was at the time possessed by the mystical book the Darkhold. When Ghost Rider became a part of the team the Midnight Sons, he died twice. Ghost Rider denied this, though others, including Mephisto, believed otherwise. Ketch later learned the origin of Zarathos from the mystical dream lord Nightmare, who believed the entity to which Ketch was bound was Zarathos reborn and freed from the Soul Crystal. She was eventually killed by Blackout, whom Ketch had acquired as a mortal enemy. He beat the gangsters, but was unable to save Barbara, who had slipped into a coma as a result from her injury. ![]() This Ghost Rider was nearly identical to the previous, though his costume and bike had undergone a modernized tailoring. Upon touching the sigil, he was transformed into the Ghost Rider. One night, Daniel and his sister Barbara were attacked by gangsters with his sister grievously wounded by Deathwatch, Daniel fled and hid in a junkyard, where he found a motorcycle bearing a mystical sigil. He proved to be so damn popular that other Marvel Comics books had him consistently used as a way to pop sales.ĭaniel Ketch was born in Brooklyn, New York. When Danny was introduced with mystery and unanswered questions in Cypress Hills Cemetery. Wheres the LOVE for Danny Ketch? The best Ghost Rider of them all! Johnny Blaze gets to be in two mainstream MARVEL films starring Nicolas Cage (I know it wasn’t MCU cannon but still…) Robbie Reyes gets to be on the MARVEL TV show AGENTS OF S.H.E.I.L.D. The person is in charge but is limited, and if they want more power they have to let the spirit take over more, becoming more violent and vicious, so it gets less heroic and more dangerous.I’m MAD AS HELL so you’re going to READ about it. Personally i don't like the noble kale approach of the rider always being a whole other person as it left poor danny feeling like an extra in the 90's, and with kale not really getting a back story till like issue 80 it's just a little dry.īest dynamic for me is what johnny had in the way run and robbie had in his first run. Transforming doom the living planet (and using it to pull off a feat a hundred thors couldn't) and a celestial into it's rides, outracing the star brand, single handidly collapsing the god quarry. His spirit is definitely the most singularly powerful as it's a unqiue one in the multiverse. Robbie's spirit is called the all rider, towards the end of aaron's run it started exerting more and more control making it clear it wasn't robbie at the wheel. Kale has cameo'd a bunch since but that's it. Kale was unique in that the spirit he was bonded to was nameless/had no personality, and then when danny got the power kales spirit was there, basically his spirit and the rider were the same thing. So i wonder if zarathos having an identity at all comes from that, like starting out maybe he was blank and nameless like the others but being around for a while made him stronger/gave him an more defined identity.īanshee was possessed by a spirit of vengeance that chose to change and become a spirit of variance so it had autonomy as well. Interestingly enough in brisson's run when johnny absorbed a bunch of sin he started becomign more evil and growing horns just like zarathos looked. It seems to be that the spirits don't tend to have individual names though. Zarathos hasn't been a villain since the 90's, instead he's more of a heavy handed hero who prefers to avenge rather than save. Zarathos has a name and still possess blaze but isn't an antagonist and is usually referred to as the rider rather than zarathos. The spirit of vengeance is not a singular entity there are a lot, there on y being 1 at a time isn't a thing outside of the 90's. ![]()
